Thought I would show you guys my little surgery I had on Friday. It was for a hernia.
Did you survive the operation?
Really, how are you?
Hope you have a good and speedy recovery. Why did they use staples instead of stitches? Is this something new doctors/surgeons do?
And oh yeah, don't worry, the picture really wasn't that bad IMO
Yeah, I am doing good. I dunno when they started using staples instead of stitches, I think it all depends on the surgery.
Minimizes the scarring I think. Also easier to apply, the scarring is a reason given but from what I have seen they leave a different shaped scar while being much easier to apply.
hope you have a speedy recovery with no complications!!! hehe good scar makes for a good story!!!
Speedy recovery there buddy. Be sure to follow the doctors orders.
get well soon!
Get well, take a rest... that's not scary, there was a thread about a brain surgery, that was nasty... take care and again, get well soon!
ohh, this is funny, http://www.edheads.org/activities/knee/index.htm
Feel better soon.
It's a good thing that they didn't run out of staples as I usually do and have to use duct tape. Duct tape--it's good for everything.
Silly, you olny use duct tape for arteries, not for external use, unless you can get a color coded one. I guess that would be ok.
you just got to love being stapled together
Unless you were the dead gymnast in the movie Monkeybone. Great scene.
Hope MacAztec stocked up on Netflix movies.
I never knew what a hernia was. I heard about them and searching on the net, came across this description. A hernia is when one part of the body intrudes into the gap of another part. That seems like an odd occurrence. And since we are so grateful for modern advances in surgery, hernias must have occurred hundreds of years ago and caused a lot of pain or even death to its victims?
