Im about to swap my note 2 to ip5. Am I required to go to verizon store to activate it or just cut my sim to nano and im all set?

If your on AT&T usually you can just swap the sim. With Verizon they require the ESN to fully activate it. Either the store or a phone call should do the trick.

If your keeping the Note 2 swing by a store and get a micro sim so you can swap back and forth if you feel the need. You will still have to call them or have the store do the swap. They are sim cards but don't work like GSM, the card has to be assigned to the phone. They also have to have the ESN put on your account as mentioned above.

My brother has a Note 2 and its a nice device but its WAYYY to big to be honest.

Honestly when you get your i5, you should jailbreak it and download this tweak called Accelerate. It is freaking awesome and i highly recommend it.
