For our latest video review, we took a look at SwitchEasy's lineup of cases for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. SwitchEasy has been making cases for Apple's line of iPads and iPhones for years and its latest set of cases offer the quality design and affordable pricing the company is known for.

SwitchEasy's $20 Nude collection is its thinnest and lightest set of cases, measuring in at 0.8mm thick. Though it's thin, it is made from a rigid polycarbonate material that has a textured exterior for better grip. It's not going to offer a lot of drop protection, but it'll protect an iPhone from bumps and scratches.

The Numbers series is SwitchEasy's most affordable iPhone case line, priced at just $15. These cases are made from a soft-touch TPU that's designed to protect the iPhone from drops up to 1.5 meters. The $20 N+ series is quite similar to the Numbers series, as it's also made from a soft, rubbery TPU but with a glossy back.

SwitchEasy's $20 Aero series was created to be thin and light while still offering a good amount of protection. It has a rubbery rim to keep the iPhone safe from drops, but it has the same thin back as the Nude collection. We found it to be an excellent compromise between bulk and protection, and it was one of the lightest cases we've tested.

The last collection we looked at, the $25 Play, is similar in design to the Aero but it comes with a wrist strap and a built-in kickstand for watching videos. All of SwitchEasy's cases mentioned in the video come with an included screen protector for full device protection.

All of SwitchEasy's cases can be purchased from the SwitchEasy website. Pricing ranges from $15 to $25, but can sometimes be even lower on Amazon.com.

Thin, affordable, and slippery. Almost all of SwitchEasy's newer cases have been very slippery for me. The CandyShell Grip will always be my go-to case.

I'm not too fond of their iPad or Mac cases, but their iPhone cases are so great. Very durable, perfectly fitted, and nice looking. I've gone to other cases here and there just to see if there's better stuff out there. I haven't found anything better, including Apple's leather iPhone cases.

i got two thin 0.02 mm cases from ebay for 5€ and they r perfect. cant even tell its there. my first case i didnt take off after one day.

however these look great too
 
switcheasy made really great cases in the iPhone 3G/3GS days. I was a big fan of the combination of rubber on the inside and hard plastic on the outside with the capsule neo. Sadly all the make now are pretty generic but colorful cases..

The Nude, clear version, makes the 6S+ even more slippery. After handling it for a few minutes, it seems to draw skin oils out of your hand and adds an oil slick on top of the slippery. Then it looks gross and always feels like it's in need of a cleaning. Worst case ever... :eek:

Longtime favorite is the Incipio NGP, strikes a balance between device protection and keeping added bulk to a minimum.

Stop right there. I don't know if this is a sponsored article or not, but what in the name of Steve Jobs is the point of an iPhone case that doesn't do anything but look pretty? Do you really think the iPhone is so ugly without a case? You might as well just put stickers on it for all the good this wrapper is going to do you.

It may not offer drop protection, but it does offer protection from dings and scratches. I personally do not use a case for protection from drops because I have never dropped my iPhone, but I do use a thin one similar to this so it doesn't get scratched in my bag. I'm sure there are plenty of people in the same boat who want a little bit of protection from scratches but don't want the bulk of a full case.

Anyone know of a case exactly like the Play (super thin with wrist strap and kickstand) but for the 5s? It seems to be available only for 6/6s :(

Scratch protection?
 
The Numbers case looks thin and grippy, the type of case I like. It seems similar to Apple's silicone case, but a lot cheaper. I have Best Buy's clear Insignia case, and I really like it. It's hard to tell the case is actually there, but it does provide decent scratch and drop protection. It also has a slight lip for face-down drop protection. (I've dropped my phone a few times, with no damage.)

Scratch protection and grip are not to be underestimated. Aluminum gets easily scratched/chipped. And grip, anodized aluminum can be slippery, having a TPU case would give it better grip.

'Affordable'?! Anyone looking to buy an iPhone case owns a $500+ phone. Let's stop it with this "$20 is too much for a case" nonsense.
 
I'm still looking for the perfect bumper. Plastic shell that looks and feels like metal. Sadly no one makes such a thing. Perhaps Metallic look and feel on plastic is impossible to make at this time.
 
Zoogue cases are more protective and even cheaper. Wait for the monthly/bimonthly $3.99 iPhone case sale and buy 4 for the price of 1 cheap SwitchEasy...but then you may have to buy more phones will all these extra cases...

I used to say the same thing. I have had an iPhone since launch day of the original iPhone (I was the first person in line). I have never broken an iPhone screen. Well... yesterday... dropped my iPhone 6 plus, shattered the glass. Moral of the story: never say never.
