i'm not very good with laptops, and i apologize if this seems obvious to some..

i have a macbook 2.0 ghz, 1g ram, 60 gb hard drive

my mom is buying another one with 2.0 ghz, 1gb ram and 80 gb hard drive

my question is, can i switch the the two hard drives and will it work with no problem at all? ive already used mine for a few days and ive installed a few stuff, whereas the other macbook would be fresh with factory settings... so will it work?

thanks

It'll be fine... just make sure you delete the porn from yours before you give it to your mum :p

tnx

thanks, you guys are great!!! and yes, will remember to remove any unwanted discoveries, lol!!

but one more thing, i read somewhere that if i use the install discs i can restore it to factory settings... does that mean the next time i boot the computer itll give me the nice "welcome" video? because i want my mom to experience that in her own computer with her as the administrator...
