Carrier T-Mobile iPhone 6S Plus Data Coverage NYC

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 6S+ on T-Mobile and it seems I am getting worse data coverage with the new phone than with my iPhone 6. I have been using the new phone for the last 3 days and places that I used to get LTE at, I am only able to get 4G service and with weaker signal. I have also tested out coverage in the same locations with an iPhone 5S and it is able to get an LTE signal fine.

Has anyone else encountered this in NYC or in any other location?
