I was tired of waiting for an Apple tablet, so I built my own:

You can check out the worklog so far: http://fabiennemaurer.com/flo/tablet/

Few things I hope to fix like finding a way to inverse the y-axis on the trackpad?

That is fantastic. You could go into manufacture, so Apple what they are missing out on!

If we want a Tablet PC, you have to go with Windows for now. Bite a bullet and go with Fujitsu, Lenovo, Motion, or Electravaya. I doubt Apple is going to make one in the true sense of the tablet computer.
