I capture video with my windows box using an ATI utility in MPEG2 format. How can I open this file on my Mac, either in FInal Cut Pro 3 or in QuicktimePLayer Pro to trim the file?

I installed the QuickTime MPEG2 decoder, but for some reason, I can't open the file, it still says it's an unrecognizeable format.

I simply want to use final cut pro to edit out the commercials from the MPEGs that i've already recorded.

HELP!

What's teh deal with QuickTime pro and OS X Server 10.3.2?
