That's kinda why I like it.

If a show that's supposed to be entertainment ignores the story and tries to make it too realistic and factual, then it tends to bore me.

I don't watch TV or movies for fact, I'll read encyclopedias for that.
The story is what makes the show, not the fact.

I've been watching it off and on.

It's not bad, but it's as if it's all one long breeding experiment. Don't humans think about anything else? :D I would think that aliens would be bored with it after seeing everything we have on t.v. and in the cinema. :D

I'm more interested in what they're going to do with 'Children of Dune'.

why cant it be a story and fact show?

im cool with the show...its actually pretty good. the chick actor though... while she is a sight for sore eyes... her acting aint all that.... the story is interesting though.

    No problem with that.

Just that most writers when they try to combine the two, they ignore too much of one and focus too much on the other.

A lot of sci-fi is like that though, they may be very descriptive in the technical details (even though they may not be factual) but have no clue on how to write a good story.

And yeah, the red hair'd chick acting sux, I'll definately agree to that.[IMG]

    Need Job, will compromise...

Yeah... this somehow seems beneath Steven Spielberg in the same way the television Tom Hanks seemed below him.

If you look at it another way, it's just an extension of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". That was a critical success but not so much a financial success. Taken was certainly financially taxing with everything going on at once.

It did turn out nicely though. :) I'm sure Spielberg was pleased.

Well I just watched the finale last nite and it was waaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooooooooong.

If it had been an hour it would've been fine or if they packed 3 times the stuff then it would have been great, but it was just so drawn out like it was screaming to be over.
