Just received the appropriate cables today to use my iMac as a target display mode. I can get it to work by using the F2 on iMac but wanted to use MacBook Pro touch bar as display.
Made fn key to display F1 F2 etc but cannot get it to work. This is the combination I held fn command & F2 on touch bar, didn't work.
Appreciate any help...thanks.

Yes,
Target Display mode allows you to use a supported iMac as an external display, connected to another Mac.
So, if it is supported, you can use your iMac as a display for your MBPro, but not using the MBPro as a display for your iMac.

Thanks for the info, I'll just use the iMac as a display then.
