terminal application is gone!

    help! I can't find my terminal application, and I think it may have been deleted. how to reinstall?

    Well it is usually located in /Applications/Utilities.

    If you haven't already, use the Finder's "File->Find" command to search for the "Terminal.app" filename.

    If that doesn't find it, you may have accidentally deleted or renamed it. You would then have to use the software restore CD that came with your system to reinstall the application.

    if its truly gone, and you don't want to do the whole re-install thing, there's a little app called Pacifist that lets you install individual portions of a .pkg. Don't know how well it works, just heard of it. here's the link:

    Yeah, just checked with pacifist. Terminal.app is in the

    /System/Installation/Packages/Essentials.pkg

    on disc one of the jaguar installation
    I'm not going to try to install it, but that should work. YMMV
    If you try this, please post back here and let us know if this worked...
