    hey everyone..

I'm looking for a mac tetris.. or "popular falling block game"

--all the games I've found are huge! .. i.e. Quinn at over 8MB.

This game used to be 50k -- what happened?

If you've got a good alternative, please let me know. (FREE)

Sorry, the only one I am aware of is Quinn. Does it really matter to you that it's 8 MB? That isn't a lot of space in the grand scheme of things... ;)

    8mb

admittedly, it's not huge... but tetris was literally under 50k.. It kinda troubles me that an app can be identical and 160 times the size... i.e. a 10-20 gig operating system.. imagine if that was 160 times smaller -- it would make a difference!

Yeah, I know what you're saying. But, Quinn is fun, so regardless of its size, it might be your best option - unless you only have 7 MB left on your HD... ;) :D

If I come across any other versions I'll keep you in mind, but I did the same search a few years ago when I initially came across Quinn and couldn't find anything else, so I doubt too much has changed...

yup.. found that egg yesterday.. but it's quite difficult to tell what column your piece is in until you're close to the bottom..

in fact, I've spent the afternoon looking for cool games.. haven't had much luck.. found yiminee cribbage which is ok..

    still looking for

    spades
    hearts
    jigsaw puzzle

and any other single player, non-network games..

p.s. found some terrible shareware games that required payment (I mean really bad)

Cool, thanks.. installed it's 1.5 MB, still 1/5 the size of Quinn..

My opinion is that this is a widespread problem in the world of software.
imagine if your OS was 1/160th of the size.

Well to be honest while Quinn could probably use some space optimization its definetely a much more complex product than the 50kb Tetris you speak of...
