Is there any way to just edit the raw html using TextEdit in Tiger? Everytime I open a .html document it just shows me a WYSIWYG view of the page. I just want to edit the html myself.

    Tips would be greatly appreciated.

You may use TextEdit, but I would recommend you download TextWrangler or SubEthaEdit, nice, free text editors with HTML color coding. Or if you want a free WYSIWYG/source code editor try Taco HTML edit. :)

    PS! TextEdit stinks... ;)

I found it, under Preference -->Open and Save --> "Ignore rich text commands in HTML files".

Now I can just edit the HTML without any of that bloat.

Fantastic! Thanks for figuring that out - its been bugging me since i started using Opera on the Mac (which uses Text Edit as its source reader).
