So I sent in my MBP to be repaired because of the whine and buzz. They took it, replaced the logic board and now I have it back; it arrived just a few minutes ago. I take it out of the box and it starts whining. This time, however, it is not the processor- the logic board fixed that. It is the screen, which had never made a peep before. Now it flickers occasionally and makes a terrible whining sound when at any brightness other than totally dark! Why did this happen! It is the same computer because they didn't erase the HDD and it is my data, so what went wrong, and what do I do?! I don't want to send it in again, but it dosen't look like I have a choice... If I bring it into the apple store nearby, can they fix it quicker than if I just call up AC?

This is not a good way to wake up...

they could have taken the hard drive out of your first one and put it in a new one, so it could be a different computer

Interesting...it is quite possible because I had the CTO 7200rpm 100gb and it might have been easier to just swap it out...

I also just realized there are a couple of scratches on/around the battery that weren't there before! This just gets better and better....

Yes, most likely. Go online before you head over there and set up a Genius appointment.
