Yeah ok apple, explain this to me then.
I've been wearing my watch since 6am this morning. And I have not been moving the whole time.

It's inconsistent. I preferred it when it took my HR every 10 minutes.
When I looked at the revised description of the function it said that it takes it every 10 minutes but does not record it when you're active or your arm is moving. I'm not really bothered by that but I'm wondering why it's taking it every 10 minutes if it's not going to record it. There must be some logic there but I'm not sure what it is.

I agree, why bother taking it if it's not going to record it. And since it's supposed to remind us to move more, how often are we supposed to be still for the HR to be recorded? Doesn't make any sense to me. I'd like it to go back to the way it was pre-update.

I too miss the pre-update, where it took it at 10 minute intervals. My battery life did not suffer. I enjoyed seeing my heart rate range for the day every night. Now on the health app, there is only one recording per day, and it seems to only record 2 or more if I do it manually.
Really disappointed.

I have the opposite issue. 8+ reading a minute varying 40+ BPM....

This is my experience, I wish it was the same, but I still get it every hour or so so not a big deal. Nothing like OP.

I put my Watch on at 7:30 this morning and it did not record my first heart rate measurement until 12:42. :-(
