I'd like it as a normal notepad/portfolio case to carry any hardcopies I had.

What!? That looks like someone held my grandpa at gunpoint, stole his belt and shoes and made an iPad case out of it.

This is an ugly case. It looks destined for old people, over 65 years old...

Boy, sure glad you guys don't flame people. I think I'll just stay a lurker in case you happen to disagree with something I say.

I don't like it and I am of grandpa age. The iPod is a minimalist design and this case screams that "more is more". It might suit the Chairman of the Board of a Fortune 500 Company but not all you oh-so-trendy hipsters, geeks and yes, a few of us grandpas.

Forgetting for a moment the questionable aesthetics, and those are personal taste after all, the design is terrible from a usage and protection standpoint. The credit cards hard edges are going to be slammed into the screen. Sure glass is much harder than the plastic but the iPad has an oleophobic coasting which could get scuffed up over time. The second problem, and bigger problem, is the flap with the brass snap on it. All it is going to take is one careless close with flap towards the screen and you could end up even cracking the screen, the default position of that flap is terrible. On top of all that I really don't like cases that cover the bezel. I hate when my finger runs into the edging on something like that but that is personal preference.

Excellent feedback before I purchase it. First look, I like it because it looks classic and as clovis said looks like indiana jones. It is not that old looking and might look cool in office. But after several people mentioning it, I have a second thought. Hmmm... may be not.....now, I am not sure. :D
