    In the MBP? It's under one of the speaker grilles. When you do an audio iChat the other person's vocals only come out of one side to avoid interference with the mic on the other side.

    See...this is why I buy Macs! This is why I don't mind paying a small premium (as some argue) for Apple Hardware. Sooooo worth it.

    Yes. I don't actually like that though - I know the recorded audio isn't stereo but it's simply louder from both speakers, like on the MacBook (although of course those speakers are inexplicably quiet - you can't win!).

    I agree, I would prefer two subtle mics on either side. Damn it Apple, if you can just about manage to add a large dot for the iRDa receiver without ruining the look of the MBP too much, you can find a way around this.

    Can anyone actually verify where the mic is on these brand new MBP's. It'd be nice if it were in the keyboard.
