    I'm almost certain that some of the members here are involved in other online communities besides MacRumors. I'm curious about what other communities other members are in (links to the community main page are appreciated), and if anyone has referenced one of their other communities in a post here.

    My Active Communities (besides this one, of course):
    AppleInsider
    ticalc.org (I'm "enchantedcoders")
    VGMix
    VGMP3
    Dragon's Den

    I have NOT made any explicit references to other communities here (that I can remember :) ), but I might have made an implicit reference somewhere.

    I'm pretty much MR only... I don't get time to do any other forums, and I quite like the crowd here. ;)

    I just bring my eclectic tastes here, as opposed to going to a specific site to partake in discourse! :D

    I'm MR only as well. The first and only forum I've joined and it took me about 1 1/2 years of lurking before I even did that!

    MacRumors only and although I read through other community sites once in a while I don't really feel compelled to write there. I usually don't post at all at message boards, so MR is kinda special... :D

    MR only. It took me 6 months of lurking after wich I finally registered. I like the crowd and one forum is enough to keep me busy…

    MR for me. I checked out AppleNova a wee bit, just to see what other Mac forums are like, but it didn't suit. I'm happy here, God help me (and you poor bastards as well, for having to put up with me). :)

    I frequent Funmac.com every now and then after a friend introduced me (even though he rarely visits). Otherwise same here, MR only really.

    I don't have much time to go to other forums. But I occasionally I'll visit www.cgtalk.com and the Newtek forums.

    Like most others, I guess, I visit the other sites but as far as posting goes I'mm MR only. Until I get a better offer!

    While we're talking general posting stuff;
    Could someone explain how to break a quote.
    I can click on the quote button and it'll apaer in my post but I often see others breaking someones quote and entering thier post between the 1st's paragraghs for example.

    Help appreciated.

    I browse the http://www.somethingawful.com/ forums but I don't post there because it costs $10 to register. It's a good place to go if you're looking for a laugh.
    But it's mostly MR for me.

    To quote a person, just use the following (without spaces between the letters, of course):

    [ Q U O T E = username ] quoted text here [ / Q U O T E ]

    or, if you're not quoting a specific person, try:

    [ Q U O T E ] quoted text here [ / Q U O T E ]

    And BTW, I'm also a MR-only person. :)

    I think what was desired was how to break up a quote.

    You have to do that manually. Click on the Quote button to reply (and their text will already be there. I'll use [Q] instead of QUOTE in this example.

    Original text:

    I have two questions.
    1) What day is it?
    2) What year is it?

    When you click the Quote button you will get:

    [Q=SilentPanda]I have two questions.
    1) What day is it?
    2) What year is it?[/Q]

    To break it up you would have to insert a [Q=Silentpanda] (or just [Q] to not list the user name) and also a [/Q]. It would make it look like this:

    [Q=SilentPanda]I have two questions.
    1) What day is it?[/Q]
    [Q=SilentPanda]2) What year is it?[/Q]

    Then you would insert your responses as such:

    [Q=SilentPanda]I have two questions.
    1) What day is it?[/Q]
    Today.
    [Q=SilentPanda]2) What year is it?[/Q]
    2004

    Which would look like.....

    Today.
    2004

    Tada!
