Highlight between the arrows below if you want the answer to Chapter 1:

    >> 64529 <<

No idea what to do now though...

I got something else... My answer was >38645.txt< and it worked. I'm on the second step with the people but I'm not sure what's next.

That worked (DropBox put a Captain's log folder in the DropBox 2012 folder) but what now?

Open the file you created. (Might have to do it from the website, that's what the chapter 1 instructions said...)

I was thinking some of the parts would be elbow grease or a quantum gyrochronatron. But adding those as .txt files didn't seem to do anything.

EDIT - nvm didnt realize you need to open the file you created.

if you want to use them:
    Chapter 4: SOMA
    Chapter 5: MAD LIB
Chapter 6: you need to invert the images
    i used this link: http://www.converthub.com/invert-colors/
    it's easier than opening photoshop.

Now you want to go the "events"
    https://www.dropbox.com/events
and enter the date of the ones whose colors don't match.

    M= Month; D= Day; Y= Year;

    Chpater 7: https://www.dropbox.com/dropquest2012/'PW'
PW -- LEADING or DEALING or aligned
    ----------

    it's not a file.
    https://www.dropbox.com/dropquest2012/'insertPW here'
    [without the apostrophes]

Been refreshing for 5 minutes. Either I get service unavailable or the dropbox bandaided box.
