Sorry if this was posted before.

    Check this out:

    http://www.amatechnologies.com/

It looks like an iPod for all sorts of media. Is this legit?

    Just curious.

the thing weighs 21oz and is 7.5ish inches long. however that's balanced by the 6.5inch screen...looks a lot better than other similar players...

I don't know... Just I haven't heard of that company or any products, or seen any ads, or heard any buzz. It seems real enough, I guess, and although I don't think it's intended to be an iPod killer, it sure seems like a good multimedia player.

    Big player, 15/16" thick.
Pretty cool, though. Big enough screen to replace a 7" portable DVD player, plenty of storage for tunes, connect to the TV for playback, built-in mic, decent enough battery life...does it do laundry, too?

    I want it all...

Something like this, only less than 1/2 an inch thick, 6 x 3 inches, 1024 x 600 touch screen, with a CF card reader and built in mic, wireless connectivity and GSM, running something like OSX lite.

    An iSlate? iTablet? iViewer?

    Please Apple!
