Anyone seen this thing yet? It's at http://www.lexusa.com/eyesignal.html
Encased in it are three different color LED's, when you get email instead of looking to see who it is from you look at the LED to see if the color is from someone you know, something work related, or unknown.
Geez how did I exist before this invention?

80 dollars for three LEDs? There can never be too many programmable blinkenlights, but that's just silly. (All right, the provided email app is silly too, but it could be put to more interesting uses).

So you don't have to open your email, which most of us have open whenever we're at the computer anyway, but now you have to deal with a window that pops up everytime you get a message?

So now instead of ignoring the little red dot on my mail icon in the dock I have to deal with a window that pops up with every message? What convenience.... and only $80? What a bargain ;)

I don't have to know if it's spam, the filter does a pretty good job of that for me.

Maybe it can do more things than flash 3 LEDs at me. Maybe it is a soda coaster in disguise. Or maybe it is magical?

The manual checking of my messages works for me. Don't think that I would like to have a light flashing in my face. Always thought that the AOL message, "You've Got Mail," would get old rather fast. :D
