Just got through some details on flooring (very boring, but don't worry, that's not the point) and it comes with an interactive CD of sorts. On the front of the CD as you can see there is clearly an Apple Pro Mouse, I think oh cool, something to play about with, flip over the CD; requirements:
Wouldn't you just know it

I know there are many other instances of this, and they have been posted before, but sheesh...

The way of the world isn't it?

Most designers and graphic folks put Mac stuff into their clients material.

This happened with my bank. They sent me out a lovely leaflet about internet banking showing someone sorting their accounts out while lying on a bed with their Powerbook...

...except that I couldn't because it was an IE only site.

To give them their due, I wrote and pointed it out and they took off the browser check so that I could access it (and it worked perfectly in Safari) and limited themselves to only supporting IE.

    BTW

E, If there's anything you want to know about flooring, PM me.

I worked for a designer flooring company for a couple of years and can give some advice if you need it.

They do this all the time.

Up until recently, Apple computers looked better than PCs, no argument. That's why they were featured in adverts. Who wants to advertise with a black Dell?

& my son will install it for you (in between recording sessions) -- course the ticket from VIctoria BC to the UK may be a bit stiff...

I notice that the current BA ad features an Apple mouse as well. Their site says Netscape 7 or IE. Ho Ho Ho.

Yeah... there's a BA Apple mouse ad (with the Apple prominently showing) and another one about making connections that shows all the ports on the side of a Powerbook... Their 'online' ads on the plane show a Mac too at various points

The annoying thing is that although you can do most things in Safari on their site, the one thing you can't do (or couldn't at Easter when I last tried) is change your seat when you do online check-in or print your boarding card.

You can change your seat in Mac IE but still no boarding card printing...

No, the eMac still. Just, not with the stand.

Besides, is that Vaio even a PC for consumers or for small businesses!??

Bamzu commericals (www.bamzu.com) always shows IE: Mac, but on a PC monitor. Numerous advertisements also display Mac desktops and Browsers on PC's.

Yep, I was just going to mention Comcast. Most of their commercials feature Macs...there was an ad with a little girl with a CRT iMac, the one with the guy and his wife and the TiBook, and several others. Yet, for the most part, the technicians/customer support people aren't trained to know very much about Macs.

    Their web-site now states -

"We are pleased to inform our Apple Mac customers that OSX users are able to fully access and utilise all ba.com's features and functionality"

    http://www.britishairways.com/travel/applemac/public/en_gb

I don't have any bookings at the moment. Anyone else had any luck with this?

I know they were working on it since there was a guy over at Flyertalk with a Mac who knew the web dev team personally...

Mum's flying BA next weekend to visit me so we will try checking in/changing seats and printing boarding passes...

    That sucks E.

I was at a presentation for a tender to supply laptops to schools recently and one hardware manufacturer was offering stickers on top of their laptops with your logo of choice on. The laptop with sticker on shown in their PowerPoint presentation was an iBook....nothing wrong with that you say....but it was a presentation by Fujitsu-Siemens for their own laptops. Obviously a slide straight from the sticker manufacturer's presentation. Classy!
