The Mac Malware Myth

    While I agree pretty much whole-heartedly with this article, I'd say anyone who just assumes they're safe from all the BadStuff™ on the internet because they use a Mac are simply asking for something eventually to infect/do harm to their machines.

    That being said, I'd say 99% of antivirus software for the Mac is snake oil.

    Enjoy the fact that you're not being infected by all that BadStuff™, but don't be so smug about it that you turn a blind eye to real news reports from real news sources about the possibility of a Mac virus/worm/trojan in the wild. Protect yourself when necessary. Just choose your snake oil carefully, I guess.

    Great article. I especially enjoyed the pictures.

    The pic was a banner ad for Anti-Virus Software. :D
