Not much to get excited about...

Service is poor, prices are high, and if you ask a question, they make you feel stupid.
Got this impression after countless visits to both the Portland, OR store and the Seattle store.
The only good thing about them is they carry most of the bits and pieces that the Apple store and CompUSA don't carry.

    I wouldn't recommend them...

I don't know about the store, but I find it funny to see where they are opening up.

--We might catch Bill shopping around.. but I wouldn't put money on it.

I've never had a problem with them. Like most retail stores the prices are a little higher but shipping is never free for anyone yet people continue to compare online prices sans shipping with brick and mortar stores. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Good to see they're moving to the Eastside. I hear they aren't on commission anymore so running into the snake charmer saleman is probably becoming a rarity.

I had a similar experience at the one where I bought my Powerbook and this was before the 'holiday rush' of the season. Of course, I've found the majority of people in my area to be rude and terse regardless.

I just wish I had gone to the OTHER store I had visited where people where friendly even if it was an hour drive to get there.

The more Apple stores the better.

It'll just make it easier for Microsoft to get copies of their next OS.
