What is the most romantic thing you've done for your significant other?

Mine would be going to the beach, lighting some oil candles, opening a bottle of wine, and feed her strawberries. Then we watched the sunrise over the ocean, while holding hands.

And before you go and laugh at me, just know that it worked... and i was a happy guy the next day!! ;)

(Yea, I'm bored at work and I can't think of anything to do, so I thought i'd make a new thread)

I'm not that much of a romantic guy, but I did propose to my fiancee in a fortune cookie. May seem cliche but it was about the smoothest thing I've ever done.

Also once I put a slideshow together in iMovie that went in time with our song and put it on a DVD for her.

(We get married in 6 days!)

Cooked a chicken. It was the most romantic thing she said I ever did.

I suprised my girlfriend with dinner at a Morrocan restauraunt after she had been feeling pretty bad for a couple of days. She's talked about going to Morrocco ever since we met but has never tried the food.

I'm not too romantic... but I always try to spend as much time and effort into finding the right birthday and christmas presents... that seems to be more than good enough... ;)

Of course it helps that I sometimes make an extra special dinner, too...

Somehow, I have disturbing images from "Along Came Polly" whenever the subject turns to ethnic cuisine. :p

Not a bit nervous! We've been dating for 7 years so to me its just one more step.

We're going to Aruba for our honeymoon. I've never been out of the states myself so I'm extra excited about that!

This is not about me but heres something some guy did:

One day I was at my beach house in Rhode Island and I'm eating breakfast on the deck and I see a plane fly buy pulling one of those banner advertisement things. On the banner it says "Will you mary me sandra".

I assume you would have to love some one a lot to do that.

She said it was perfect. Not just the food, but the whole night as well.

Well, I thought I'd best ask the girlfriend for her opinion on the matter. She reckons it was one evening when we'd arranged for her to come round to mine, and I surprised her by walking to her house so she wouldn't have to travel over to mine in the dark alone.

And by the way DavidLeblond – congratulations!

The secret to finding a great wife is someone who appreciates the little things. Hope she is that kind of person! [IMG]

I took my wife to Paris for a Valentine's Day weekend, and arranged to have a poem to her come up in lights on all the direction signs in the Quartier Latin that evening. Still dining out on that one! :D

I found a competition on the web set up by the Parisian authorities: send in a poem, and they choose which to put up in your selected arrondissement. February 14th only, natch.

Dammit. I can't think of anything. I'm about as romantic as toast, and I'm the romantic one in the relationship.

You know you can get little plastic toast-stamps which say "I love you"... :)

*sigh* I personally think I'm incredibly romantic but I'm currently not dating or married or anything and I think it'd just depress me to remember all the (in hindsight) wasted effort.
