I don't know why but I've never been a fan of the 911. For some reason I was a 944 fan.

Me too. The only Porsches I like are the Boxster and the Cayenne.

Atleast they've gone back to round headlights... but I can't say I'm a particular fan of Porsche's current range, I was hoping for something abit more radical for the next gen 911 though...

As for the Cayenne... it looks like an Hyundai. :p :p

Dang, they really need to find a new design for that car. I can't believe people still buy those things.

If you consider overused, 25 year old designs a work of art, sure.

the porsche line is tired and they need to shake things up, and that does not mean creating another damn suv.

What's the deal with the Carrera GT? I've never seen one on the road or dealership?

How much do they go for? (I shouldn't ask, but I'm curious :D)

If you need to ask, you can't afford it, is what I was told once at a dealership (years ago, when i was 18)

I've seen 1 GT on PCH near Malibu parked next to a half dozen H2's and various other 6-figure pricetag cars.

    That's what I figured....so a little searching and I found this

    http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=19&article_id=7366

OMG! not only is it absurdly expensive, but the performance is almost unbelievable.....

I'd love to know how many of these they'll actually make....

Thats a great super car and all....but no way in hell(even if I could afford it) would that be the car I spend $440,000(which probably gets marked up to over $600,000)

edit: I'd take a Dodge Hennessey Viper over that thing! :D

nice to see them come back to the round lights again

sure the GT is a supercar but i only have seen one driving around...
and for the Cheyenne: it was made for the US market for making money... just like the boxster was made for making money...

the 911 is the heart and soul of porsche. period.

to call the 911 design outdated is ignorance.....

Am I the only one that thought this was a thread about possible terrorist activities?

It's sad that that's the first thing I thought of...

If you stretched your imagination a little, a Laforza could be considered a "Ferrari SUV" :)

I still think the 993 was the pinnacle of the 911's, so at least they're going someway with the round headlights. Don't get me started on the Cayenne, talk about a Porsche badge stuck to a tank...

Never had one myself but one of the guys I work with does. IIRC it's a '86 turbo, it still looks stunning (Champagne metallic and deep red leather interior) and goes like stink. I had some photos of it somewhere but I can't find them at the moment. Unfortunately he's selling it so he can buy something a bit more fuel efficient and practical. But it's not as if he'll be loosing out on the fun when it goes tho', he's got a Reliant Scimitar and a Triumph Stag to play with too.

you know there are both part of the same division. as for porsche's, i love them. my friend's dad has two 911's. one twin turbo he drives day to day, and another 911 that he races on the track that isn't street leagl. and he just bought his wife a boxster s for her birthday last week.
