Canada was luck against the Swiss, those mistakes won't happen again. Another Gold, and this time on home ice!

Canada's team isn't particularly awesome this year, but I have no doubt we'll make it to the finals.

Well, as long as there aren't anymore games like the Swiss one.

I haven't paid attention to it this year, one of my friends went to the final game last year in Grand Forks I believe, that was an awesome game.. especially since the NHL was lockedout

I always follow this tournament closely.

If Canada wants to win, it's on Pogge's shoulders.

What'd everyone think of the vicious cheap shot the American player took on the Canadian player after the winning goal (by Canada) the other night?

Canada vs. Russia in the final. Go Canada.

Anyone watch the Russia vs. USA game? It sure got nasty in the last 5 minutes.

That was uncalled for. Why did Johnson even do it? Now the whole US team is backing up Johnson saying it was self defence. Im surprised he didn't get suspended, now everyone boo's him :D

Ya, it got pretty bad. Should be a good gold medal game though, I'm glad it's Canada vs Russia, not that we couldn't beat the Americans again :p

Apparently Downie slashed him just before it. That's hockey, yeah it was a cheap shot, but if you slash a guy you should be ready to pay the price, it's just usually the check's (cheque's) not cashed. Oh well

A slash to hard plastic that you barely feel, or a elbow covered with hard plastic to the face.

It's a cheap shot either way you look at it, and it was inexcusable.

There would have been a melee if Kyle put out Johnson at the end of that Russia game.

I never said it wasn't a cheap shot. It most definitely was, but you have to realize that you are basically a gladiator out there (listen to the fans cheer during a fight) and crap happens

I play hockey. I know how things work.

In a fight you know what's coming. It's not a flying elbow out of no where.

    O Canada!

Canada 5, Russia 0. Canada wins gold in back to back years.

    Pogge was a star.

    Ya! Congrats Canada!

I loved the way the fans started cheering 'overated' at the end of the US vs Finland game.

Canada played awesome, Pogge stood tall. Wow what a game.
Just found this thread, again, that's why I posted so late
