Well .. after 36 hours and no response to my letter (see above), which was supposed to be answered in 24 hours, I picked up the phone today.
I basically told the support guy on the other end that Panther was late, Tiger is late, and my email hasn't been answered for 36 hours. His response boiled down to, "Yeah, we really take full responsibility for not getting it out the door on time and we've been swamped this weekend with complaints." Then he offered a free copy if iWork or iLife.
I already have both, so I opted for iLife. I'll give it to a friend or someone who doesn't have the latest version.
I'm still frustrated (and disappointed), but I have to at least applaud Apple for trying to make things right.
