    That's a fascinating article, makes me reminisce.

    First had iTunes on a Performa 6320, Mac OS 8.6 with a 120 Mhz 603 processor and 32MB of RAM. It could run iTunes just fine, but only if you weren't doing anything else.

    I remember when 32MB players were top of the line. My friend had one of those early Rios, and he played MP3s on his 66MHz Powermac 6100 - It actually played them without skipping, although the sys reqs for Sound Jam said 100MHz PowerPC.

    I dont know if Liquid Audio songs were MP3s or not but they were the first digital media I played back before iTunes was around. Ah the good ole days with my 233 mhz powerbook.
