Some nutter killed a bunch of people and kids after murdering his own mother.

    Succinct enough?

    Coldly, yes.

I do have to question the timing of releasing the report.. I mean, we are coming up on a year since it happened. That, combined with Christmas and for some families, Christmas without their children, I wonder if they could have waited until after the holidays to release the report.

The report should be filed and disclosed as soon as it's finished. I don't feel Christmas or any holiday justifies a delay.

Keep in mind here that we're talking about the anniversary of the shooting coming up, combined with the two biggest holidays for spending time with family. I'm just saying that out of sympathy and courtesy of the families involved, it would be less tough on them of they released the report after the holidays.

Just the anniversary of the shooting and the holiday season alone are enough of an emotional toll on them.

I understand your position. I just disagree. If the report is done it should be released. The governor, as I understand, called for it as well.

When it comes to crazy, I believe that is motive enough. I guess they can't say that they investigated the motive for 11 months and can only determine that he was crazy to nth degree.

The report was due in the spring/summer and has been delayed repeatedly. From what I read in news stories, victims' families were given near-final drafts about a month ago. It was necessary to release the report in order to continue to move forward from that day.

They wanted the report released before the anniversary. The governor didn't want it going past a year. Plus as said by others this was supposed to be released in the summer and was delayed. This isn't even the final report that is over 10,000 pages.

Reading through it, I find it interesting what they found on his computer. The spreadsheets etc.

I have no problem with the timing. The sooner the better.

In other news, Xbox 360 RROD contributed to his mental state

Reading most of the report, there is nothing more to say than this was due to a mental illness which combined with his detachment to his family seperated him from the real world and somehow created a need to shoot children...
