I would just like to inform all of you that after just getting involved in the screwiest accident ever, I would like to show you how awesome the invisible shield really is. I was in the car with my girlfriend making out and parked and this crazy driver screeches and hit my car near the drivers side tire, my 5g ipod was in the cup holder with the invisible shield on and after the impact my parents picked it up and theres still not a scratch on it or even a broken screen. I broke my 4g ipods screen after somebody else dropped it, im not sure who. Its been a crazy night and I just thought i'd inform you all of it.

Am I missing something? Did the iPod fly out of your car an resist scratching? I'm pretty sure if I put an iPod sans IS in my car and was in an accident that it would still be ok... I'm not sure if this proves the usefulness of the IS, unless I'm missing something. Furthermore, there seems to be no delay in the time between the accident and your parents picking it up which makes me wonder if a) They were the ones that hit you b) They were nearby while you were rounding the bases with your girlfriend or c) They were actually in the car with you.

hahahahaahahah very nice man. actually right after the accident happened i had my girlfriend call the cops and i called my parents. they got to where i was like 20 min later. after you have a gash in your head the first thing you think of is not necessairly your ipod.

I need pictures! Of the car, of the iPod and maybe even your girlfriend.

Until then I remain in disbelief.

the way i read it, it sounded like they were. your story makes little sense. my middle school nephew can write up a better paragraph than that.

all you could have said was, the ipod fell, had the cover on it, and it didn't scratch. although, good job bragging about your trip to second base. *puke*

but good review, i might pick one up.

by far my favorite post of the day. I'm sorry if my post didn't make as much sense as it could have at first but keep in mind I worte it after I got home from the accident so maybe I wasn't exactly thinking straight. I went back to where the accident happened today and there's about a 20 foot mark from where the car started to skid to the end. My car was parallel to the curb and after the impact my car was nearly perpendicular, up on the grass. The cops said they hit me going like 35-40mph. Hopefully that clears up any questions. BTW, the person driving the car didn't have a liscense and the estimate to fix the car is around $7,200.

is there any easy way I can shrink the image so that I can post it because the filesize right now is too big. It's like 420 kb the way I have it now.

Preview - Save as jpeg turn the quality down
iPhoto - File > Export - reduce the pixel size, make sure aspect ratio is locked

oh man, wow, that's some serious damage. Glad that everyone (you, the young lady, and the ipod) all survived more or less intact. Don't know if it's the invisible shield that did it for you, but it is a great product.
