How horrible PC Mag showcase this
What's so horrible?
Agreed. God forbid PCMag should run an article which insinuates that Apple might move into the phone market, and speculates about the iTV .
Except that it's written using the patronising and smug ThinkSecret method. Contrast ThinkSecret with Roughly Drafted that offers similar speculation, yet argued more thoughtfully and systematically.
This is not PC Magazine, this is John C. Dvorak. Dvorak is a provocateur who writes for a number of publications. The position that he takes varies slightly for each audience. His writings can be somewhat informative, but his primary mission is to boil your blood. In your case, he accomplished his mission.
So, Nick DePlume isn't a professional writer. Truth is, several Apple-oriented writers use patronising and smug language when they're not writing for an open computing audience.
