This is a great deal, right (BestBuy - 360 premium and 30' HDTV)?

    This seems like an excellent deal, but I'd like to get your input on it.

    * Xbox 360 premium
    * 30' Samsung Slimfit HDTV
    * extra wireless controller (MS)
    * PDZ, Kameo, or PGR3

    $1,000 at BestBuy through June 10th

    What are your thoughts?

    Is it the TX-S3082WH tv? If so, I think this is a great deal! ~$500 for the Xbox 360 package and ~$500 for this TV? Sounds good to me. It has 2 HDMIs, and although its native resolution is 720p, it's a steal at $500.

    Seems like a good deal. With the $300 savings you're effectively getting the TV for $499.

    In which case you might actually consider the Toshiba unit that someone else posted earlier unlike the Samsung BB is offering, the Toshiba supports HDMI which could be an issue if/when HDCP becomes a reality...

    The 30" Samsung w/HDMI is $999 at Best Buy.

    EDIT: The TXS3082 offerred does have 2 HDMI inputs. So why is the 3080 $200 more?

    Maybe he did but didn't understand what a PDZ or Kameo or PGR3 is... I certainly have no clue (not interested in Xbox360, so haven't researched games).

    Not everyone speaks gamer lingo. ;)

    PDZ = Papa Daddy Zone ?
    PGR3 = Peter the Gourd Robber 3 ?

    I saw this deal in the Best Buy ad and thought it was a great deal. A 720p capable TV along with the 360 that really has the 720p limit is a great bundle, especially with the extra controller and a game.

    yeah, i might really think about that. HDTV's are expensive no matter what size and that 360 package ads up to about $500. i'd do it... (if i had the dough.)
