maya beach, belize
Here is the latest and last {thank gawd} update on my dilemma with the broken 30gb video.
to summarize, conceived in California, made in china, shipped to the US, purchased in Wisconsin, spent 3 weeks in Chicago, traveled to Maya beach Belize, loaded with music, delivered to Placencia Belize, placed on active duty as the bar's music device, updated 2 months later as per apple website, immediately CRASHED never to regain conciseness, instructed by apple to visit an authorized repair facility, placed in suitcase for trip to Longmont Colorado, driven to apple in boulder, replaced under warranty one week later, sent by fed-ex to vancover ca. for next suitcase ride to Belize,{charged Canadian duty}, travel to Cancun for 2 weeks, ride bus to Maya beach Belize, loaded with music, driven to Placencia, delivered to same bar only to find out a power surge had destroyed their bar stereo!
So, the bar is still playing old nasty cd's. at least the beer is cold!
what have i learned? be very very sure before you hit YES on any update offered.

still waiting for an apoligy from steve jobs.

That was very mean of Steve to sneak down to Belize and fry the stereo while you were away
