I'm picking up a TiBook later today with a "dead" display. It displays to an external monitor, but not to the notebook display itself.

Any internal fixes likely to work? Reseating the cables? Cleaning them? Replacing the inverter board?

Other than that, its cheap enough to replace the entire display and for this to still be a good deal.

If the display is not cracked its most likely the inverter, those do go out sometimes. I think those vary in price depending on model and company so maybe do a little searching on ebay.

If you do get a new inverter board, I recommend searching for parts on ifixit.com. They have good warranties, and ship quickly. Reasonably priced, as well.
