hi there i have a 800mhz g3 ibook with 640mb ram. so far iv not upgraded to tiger incase it slows down the machine too much. i was just wondering if anyone knows what kind of difference it would make and if anyone has done so on similar hardware?
cheers

I put Tiger on my 700mhz G3 iBook with 384mb RAM and it gave a noticeable speed boost over OSX 10.2.(whatever the last free update was) for everyday stuff although by then the iMac G5 had taken over the photo/video work so I can't comment on that.

I have tiger on the powerbook g3 in my sig. It lags sometimes, but it's pretty good. You have nothing to worry about, using an 800Mhz processor.
