Millions of people are demanding this feature return. It's simply unacceptable that Apple EOL'd it in iOS 10. We demand it be returned as an optional configurable at least. Stop disappointing the millions of iOS users who want this back, Apple.

Millions? Come on. The petition doesn't even have 1500 people. Millions of people couldn't care less about pushing a button.

I prefer the new system in my iPad Air 2. It doesn't affect me anyways as the press home to unlock only shows up when I press the power button to wake my iPad which i rarely do. I think it's more difficult to just add a toggle as they have to manage all the new widgets and stuff.

I doubt that many people care, I'm sure everyone is used to the new method by now. It was weird for like 2 weeks after so many years of sliding but its perfectly normal now and I'm sure most people feel the same.

I'm one of the millions annoyed by this. I'd probably say millions is a conservative estimate. I'd probably say that there are billions of people annoyed by this.
Especially those who don't even use iOS devices.

It bothered me initially but I can honestly say that I prefer this way over the old way

We should have the option (yes, I know, Apple and options do not mix) to completely turn off / disable the Today View and if so, the lockscreen returns to the classic Slide to Unlock.

It's not coming back, why do you chose to waste your time? And, iOS have 1B active users, a few million people aren't going to change anything
