    Hi and welcome,

You have to download a Bit Torrent client first.
For example the official one at www.bittorrent.com, but there are others, too. Just search around the MacRumors Forums and you'll see a lot of recommendations.

ya it's a two step process

first download the torrent file, which you already did.

then get a client like the above recommondation. Also Transmission and Azureus (props janey:p ) are good ones.

You'll need to open a port in your firewall, which is located @ syst prefs>sharing>firewall>add a port.

    a good default port # is 6881

and providing the torrent you Downloaded has seeders, you should be good to go.

Open the client, file>open...find your torrent file.

    Go nuts.:D

I'd have to recommend using Transmission. Very good and fast client.

Azureus is the only Torrent app you should use. It has the most features (most of which are invaluable, and the smaller clients don't have crap in the feature department). It's java, so it's a little slow, but it's efficient in what it does and it works without any problems.
