Im thinking of getting an iBook and read somewhere that iBooks do not have scrolling trackpads, what does this mean? Also do the trackpads work so you can tap them twice like a double click?

    Cheers

on the current powerbooks you can use to 2 fingers on the trackpad to scroll up, down, left and right, the ibook doesn't support this :)

However, there is a little app called SideTrack, this gives extra function to the ibook and powerbook trackpads :)

And yes, you can set the trackpad to click when you tap it.

    yeah, use iScroll.

sidetrack was a solution BEFORE apple released the scrolling trackpad functionality, but it's far less elegant than apple's solution, which iScroll simply replicates for current iBooks.
