Hi all,

when trying to transfer files from my hard drive to a USB flash memory stick I got error messages when a file's name was longer than 26 characters. When I renamed the file so that it was under 26, everything was fine. Rather than changing all of my file names, is there a way to override or turn off this limitation?

thanks!

From memory: I think that one of the (older) FAT filesystems had a 26+3 characters limitation. Possible solution: Reformat the USB flash memory (if possible) to a newer filesystem.
