    Dedicated Servers

There are several dedicated servers with a relativley low latencys. I can always find a full server and many semi full servers at any time of the day. Once I get my static IP, i might host a Tremulous server.

*Note* I forgot to mention this earlier, the stand-alone game version for mac is not labled "Mac OS X" on the Download page at the Tremulous official website. Instead it has no notable lable, look for the .zip downlaod link

    i like the idea

i like the idea of being able to build structures and the possible division of labor between players.

i like that overall system requirements aint heavy.

i really respect the guy that ported it over to osx.

i hadnt seen any outdoor maps when i downloaded it a few weeks ago, it seems mainly deathmatch style and unfortunately i couldn't get any friends interested. they are all playing COD 2 or halo. tough competition.:D

If you want to host a server but don't have a static IP just set up a dynamic dns address and use 1 of the Linux clients to keep it up to date.

Dedicated goes onto your registered IP address for getting out onto the internet I think... sounds right to me. Do you guys want me to host one on my iBook G4 for a few hours or that?

    Sounds good

That sounds like fun, but what is your internet connection type and speed? Also I don't know how fun it would be to run it with only a couple players playing. Maybe you should wait untill more people learn about this peice of software.
