Anyone else a fan of Tropico? I know it's a few years old, but I still love it. Especially the Mucho Macho edition. I was wondering if anyone thinks Pirate Cove will be released on Mac. It's been almost a year since it was released for PC.

I thought it was ok. My computer is a bit slow (Tibook G4/500) so that took some of the fun out of it. But overall, it was fun to be a dictator for a day!

I found it to be boring, personally. It was fun at first, but once you make a successful island or two, there isn't much else to do in the game.

I personally have wasted many hours on this game. I really enjoy playing it. I am glad to see that someone else shares my enthusiasm.

I used to play Tropico a lot, to much. Now I am playing SimCity 4 and I have to say that I love it. Though not for the feint of cpu, I would recommend trying it. I wait anxiously for the rush hour expansion.

I have SimCity 4 Deluxe version on the PC and it is amazing. I could waste many many hours playing that game. My mac isn't nearly fast enough to play but the PC I use handles the game very well, even the large maps (2.4 GHz, 128 MB VRAM, 512 MB Ram)

I haven't played Sim City since the good old days of Sim City 2000. I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon and get Sim City 4 :D

    Some ideas:

    • Defoliate for maximum cash
    • Imprison nearly everybody
    • Overfish
    • Cattle island
    • City in center of island, tourist stuff everywhere else
    • Surround large ore deposit with mines to dig really deep hole

    :D
