I've just starting trying to learn Blender and I've installed it on my powerbook. The problem is that it keeps locking up my whole system.

I've been tring to use some background images I've sketched to aid in modeling. But after zooming and panning about two times the entire system hangs, giving me a greyed screen with artifacts in a diagonal pattern.

I can then only recover by rebooting. It does this every time I repeat it. It only takes a few zooms or pans of the image and then POOF, there goes my whole system.

It does this on the lastest version 2.35, just recently released. I also tried 2.32. I have 2.35 installed on my PC and using the same files haven't had a problem.
