"fighting machine hamster is not intended for night-time use"

God, there's just so much in there. Every time I look at it, I laugh at something different...

This thread is just sick! I can't believe the terrible, atrocious ideas of some humans who can be so barbaric in hurting or otherwise torturing these poor creatures from God for sadistic, unimaginably horrid acts for greedy, selfish entertainment.

The thought of putting these creatures through such terrible acts deeply saddens me and makes my soul so vacuously hollow.

That being all said, the illustration did make me chuckle a bit. Only a bit though.

This made me laugh uncontrollably. I think it's the combination of the helpless expression on the hamster's face and the caption "Remember, what works for one hamster may not work for your hamster" - it seems like a philosophical about life in general  :p

Well I am glad someone feels the way I do...I am a huge animal lover plus a member of PETA. I know this is probably meant to be a joke, but I cannot laugh for the fact that some evil human being has probably done this to some poor little creature before.

But by far the sickest thing I have ever seen is at www.bonsaikitten.com The FBI has investigated and shut down this site a couple of times but supposedly the guy isn't really performing these sick acts; he is just some person from MIT that likes to upset people. I personally think he should be shot for even thinking of something so vile. :(

I'm so glad you haven't seen http://savetoby.com/ (it is a joke, though - the date he "dies" goes back every 6 months or so)

Exactly. A joke. :) I don't think anyone is actually going to tape a knife onto their hamster. Among other things, you'd never get it to stay on.

And the bonsai kitty thing... if you read the site, it's clearly a parody. I doubt the FBI ever did anything about it.

These things are, to me, funny in part because I know no one will do them. People who are going to be cruel to animals don't need hints from websites.

That's right. People have moral boundaries they don't cross. I'd like to give people more credit than that.

Oh I know it is a joke--I am always in a "defend animals rights mode" these days (been a member of PETA since 2000!) :) Yeah and you are probably right that people are not following these instructions or getting ideas. It scares me what some people think up though! :)

Oh I do give some people more credit :) , but unfortunately I happen to read every bad thing that happens out in the world to animals from my monthly PETA magazines. :( It is truly sick and there are SOME people that do things that are just horrifying. :(

While I agree this is a cruel and horrible thing to do to a hamster (well, only if there are other similarly armed hamsters in the area, otherwise it's just making the poor guy carry some extra weight), I think it's an excellent idea for top-ranking FEMA officials. Although, in their case, I think it'd be even better if it were done at night - they apparently prefer to be left in the dark.
