    Hey :)

Anyone with a good idea about how to get TV on a Mac?

I will buy a 12" PB for college (starting soon), but I also want a TV and find that it might be to expensive for me. So I'm looking for a smart (and cheap) way to get normal TV on the PB.

I've been looking at Elgatos Eye TV stuff, but I find it hard to understand what the different stuff gives me? All I need is to SEE, no recording needed  .If there's a card to just put into the PB it would be best I think.

Well, first of all, there's no "in" to put a card in, on the PB12". It does not have PC Card slots. So there are only going to be "outtie" solutions. :)

Where in the "Northern Hemisphere" do you live? If you live in the US, and get analog cable, then the EyeTV Wonder USB is something that will give you what you need ($99 refurb from the mfr). I'm assuming you don't have digital cable, if cost is a major driver preventing you from getting a TV.

The EyeTV DTT is great, as well (I may get it for my Media Cube)

I have eyetv 410 - it is fantastic. I would consider getting the eyetv wonder though. If you have a playstation / xbox, you can apparently plug it in and play it through your Mac.

I am thinking of getting one just to do that.

Well I was going to keep it a secret, but since you asked... I live in Norway.
And I will start at the college in Lillehammer (home of the 94 olympics).
The "apartment" im renting got broadband internet and cabel-tv included in the price, so all I need is a machine to view it on.
If I got the 15" PB, would there be a place to put a card in?
    I like the EyeTV DTT

    Not apparently, you can. Seamlessly.

But, you sorta want an S-Video Cable to make it run at its best potential.

My take on the eyeTV Wonder USB 2.0 - http://ionmac.com/eyetv-wonder-review.php

Does this mean I can't use EyeTV Wonder to see TV in Norway, since most networks use digital transmissions?
