Ok, my XServe running 10.4.11 started life as a standalone server working as a simple font server off of the domain. Recently I have begun integrating it into our domain so as to expand it's usage. Here's my dilemma: When it was just a standalone and not authenticating to the domain I created a local account called "Administrator" and gave it our network Administrator password so everyone in my department would know how to access the XServe without having to look up a unique password. Now, when I added it to our AD domain, I (kind of stupidly) logged in the first time as the network "Administrator" with the same password. A new home directory was created but now I can't access the original LOCAL Administrator account! It's gone! What happened and how do I get that account back (or can I?)
