We have a Mac server running on OS X Mavericks. This server hosts AFP network shares for our Mac users. Share permissions are administered via ACLs and Active Directory groups (the Macs are domain joined). Users are having issues saving to various folders within the shares. For example, if a user opens a Photoshop file and attempts to save it Photoshop says that the file is locked or they do not have permissions. If they save this file to their desktop they can then copy and replace the original file on the network share without issue.

The permissions at the root level and folder level are:
  • Administration
    • None
  • Read
    • All
  • Write
    • All
If have propagated the permissions several times including ownership permissions but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Any ideas what may be causing these issues?
