this truley is an amazing story. the fact that she has kept her high spirits and is using her experience to reach out to other people is awesome. i'm so excited for her to get back to surfing, my favorite quote was from one of her friends- when asked if she was going to continue surfing after this she said, 'of course- its like breathing, i cant not breathe'. i've been to tunnels beach a few times and i can totally relate to this. i really hope bethany makes it back and on to the national surfing scene.

and of course it rocks that they use macs. and that her webpage. bethanyhamilton.com has links to a .mac webpage with photos

She is trully an inspiring young lady. According to observers she never cried out in pain. A lucky young lady considering she lost almost 1/2 of her blood volume, according to the treating doctor. I think that we can expect to hear more from such a talented youg lady.

It was difficult for her to paddle just using one arm, trying to get out into the waves. She again showed her great spirit and successfull on the water ski again. "It won't be long before I do ski professionally.

An update to the Bethany Hamilton Story. She was on "Prime Time Thursday" this week. Her goal was to compete again in the sport of surfing. According to her its her life, "It makes me happy." She has been successful in amateur competition. Has just written a book. Is now touring in the devastated area after the tsunami. She is being a role model to victims that were badly injured, showing that they can do anything that they set their mind to accomplish.
