Hi guys, I have about a 3 month old MBP that I purchased from the apple online store. Just today I noticed when I was doing some photoshop work and moving an image from one side of the screen to the other I noticed that the left side of the screen has a warmish color. I then put a light grey desktop background and then you could tell right away that the left side is ever so slightly redish while the right is neutral. Anybody else have this problem??? Any solutions to this besides sending the computer to repair for weeks??

BTW I had the exact same problem on my new 23" ACD where the left side was red and the right green and the technician immediately saw the problem and replaced the monitor for me after some pressure on my side.

    Thx

I would recommend bringing in to an Apple Authorized Service Center...they would be the best people to help you that, in case the screen needs replacing.

What do you think the chances would be for them to just replace it. This is actually my main business pc, I've got all my business info including inventory etc stored on it. I don't know how I could go without it for more than a day or two.

It is highly unlikely that they will replace it. No manufacturer will replace a computer because of a failure like that. However, if they diagnose the problem, they can likely order the part and you can use your laptop in the interim, so downtime is minimal.

Like I tell my customers who can't live without computers (I'm a Sales Manager for a National chain), if you can't be without your computer, it might be wise to have a 2nd one for backup.

they wouldn't replace it. consider yourself lucky if they even repair it.

Well that sucks. I know they have a policy for dead pixels but this is different. It's annoying the hell out of me now that I notice it. It's pretty noticeable with neutral colors like with a gray. I mean I paid like 2.5K on this thing and it should be perfect.
