I have a couple of files that show up in Terminal but not in Finder. They appear to have some sort of "hidden" flag enabled. How can I unhide them? I guess I'm looking for the equivalent of DOS' "attrib -h file.ext".

Please note that the files do not begin with a dot.

    Thanks :)

As far as I know, the only way to have them there in Terminal but not in Finder is for the name to start with a "." (period).

So, if the hidden file's name is ".fubar" do

    mv .fubar fubar

and it should show up in Finder

Of course, i could be totally wrong. ;)

Edit: Hmm... realizing that you probably would have noticed if it were something as simple as that. Change my answer to a "no ***** clue"
