Unpacking a Refurbished Apple MacBook

    Thats strange, I bought a refurb iMac G5 for my Grandmother last year and it came in the same packaging as a new one.

    I also bought a refurb iMac about a year and a half ago and it was in its original packaging (just like a new one). Strage that your MacBook wasn't shipping in an original box like a new one...but at least you save a few bucks by buying a refurb :)

    I've purchased maybe a dozen refurbished Apple products for myself and family members. All of them came in generic brown boxes, alas. While Apple's beautiful exterior packaging does add to the thrill of first opening up your new product, the loss of that was more than offset by the money I saved by buying refurbed.
